(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Talking to IRNA Allama Amin Shaheedi Deputy Secretary General, Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen (MWM) said that western countries must quit their biased approach towards Iran.
Nuclear talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 held on April 5-6 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The six powers held talks with Iran in Almaty in February when western officials say they made a proposal intended to break a deadlock in the dispute over Tehran's nuclear program.
Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful but the United States, influenced by Tel Aviv, accuses Tehran of seeking nuclear weapons capability.
Allama Amin Shaheedi expressing his views said world powers should play their due role in bringing peace and stability in the world. He said that US is following imperialist approach in international politics.
The religious leader added that US has disturbed the peace of the world to implement its aggressive policies.
He went on to say that balance of power changed in the Middle East after the success of Islamic Revolution of Iran. “The US cannot digest the success of Islamic Revolution that is why they are hatching conspiracies to destabilize the Islamic Republic,” said the MWM leader.
He said that sanctions against Iran are part of a conspiracy to stop the development of Iran.
However, he said that dialogue between Iran and western powers must continue.
The religious leader said that west has to realize that Iran would not comprise its integrity and sovereignty in dialogue. “Iran is fighting a war of independence,” said Allama Amin Shaheedi.
He added that Zionist Regime is developing a weapon-oriented nuclear program but western countries are silent on this.
He said that US must respect Iran’ nuclear right to peaceful nuclear technology and should not disturb the peace of the world just to fulfill its evil designs.
